So do you work from home?
The alarm goes off and you roll out of bed in your PJ's and turn on your computer thinking you are ready for work and will get a lot done! Do you think the quality and production of work is the same if you got up, showered and dressed? Studies have shown that professionals and students who dressed professionally did better at tasks and test. So clothes do make the person!
Believe it or not according to Dr. Karen Pine a fashion psychologist suggest that the brain goes into a mode when you dress. Dress professionally you feel like you are at work and get quality work done as well as the quantity and the same as weekend clothing as you are in a relaxed mode. What do the PJ's say about your work habits. The way you dress has an effect on your quality of work as well as the time it takes you to get it done!
It effects your self image:
People do judge you by the way you dress and how you wear it as well as hygiene. I know that is superficial... and you never judged a person by the clothes they wore; their breath; hair color? Of course we have and so people do judge you. When you spend day after day in frumpy clothes, uncombed hair; no shower you start to feel frumpy right? I am not saying put on a suit but you can look pulled together and still be comfortable; ( as I am sitting here in a navy walking short with a chambray blouse) I went to the gym this morning in sweats and came home showered and got dressed!

2. Get a few Cotton jersey dresses ( as I said yesterday) Easy dressing!
3. Maxi skirt; Goes with everything!
4. Get a high quality handbag that can fit your laptop if necessary.
Getting dressed also makes you ready for anything! Surprises come up...
It will also boost your productivity as though you were in the office. Companies have a dress code to give people a perception of the company on the outside. First impressions are forever.
In the end yes it is important to dress even if you work from home. It effects your productivity and makes you feel good about yourself and the work you put out. You associate pj's
