Trends in the office: #4 Eyelet for Spring and Summer

I love eyelet because it signals the start of spring dressing. I always seem to have a eyelet dress for the Easter holiday.

My favorite color for eyelet is Navy.  It gives a great nautical look and can be dressed up or down. Here are a few of my favorite outfits for the spring and summer that are work place friendly.

1. Navy Eyelet Camp shirt and khaki skirt.

2.Eyelet Blazer

When going with a eyelet blazer go with a navy or black pant.

3. Get a dress that can be worn a few different ways.

This is a cute Navy Eyelet dress.

4. White Eyelet Dress

Classic style that can be worn to work or even a daytime spring wedding

5. Wear a White Eyelet Blouse/Tunic and get a color that will pop

I would also get a colorful cross body purse.

Metallic

Love this look as it also incorporates the lace skirt. Great look for the office

Tomorrow: Eyelet in the office.

Metallic in the office can be trick as with lace but the key here is to make sure it is professional. The trends for spring and summer are pink yellow and florals but metallic is a huge staple now and can be worn in the workforce.

1.  Sweater and metallic skirt

Make the sweater sleek to even out the metallic tone in the skirt. Pleats are big as well this season again.

2. Metallic Suit. 

I love this look.. wear a simple top underneath the suit.

3. Metallic Jacket.

I love the moto style and also a blazer for the office. Take one from the metallic suit that you are rocking at the office.

4. Trench Coat

This is a must have for 2017 but try something different with a metallic flair. This will put your fashionista status to a whole different level.

5. Metallic Pants

Be careful with this one. Wear a structured blazer with this style.

6. Metallic Handbag

These styles are to much for your office? or style? Go baby steps with a metallic handbag

Lace in the office?

Lace in the office used to be a no no as it would appear as if you were wearing Lingerie. The key to wearing lace to the office is to do it tastefully. Keep it ladylike for the office.  

With this look mostly reserved for formal or evening occasions here are some appropriate ways to shine in the office. 

Tomorrow: Metallic in the office.

1. Formal Lace Shorts

This is a great look. I know some shorts even more career look are not allowed in the office but sport these if you can! Pair with a bootie and a button down blouse. The best thing as you can wear them on the weekends as well.

2. Lace Tunic Blouse

This navy blouse and short will look fantastic in the office..

3. Perfect lace dress

4. Lace Jacket or Vest

When wearing this statement piece keep it simple.
