UGGS and Star Wars???

UGGS!!

Everyone loves their Uggs. I love mine going to the hockey rink with a skinny jean.  I love mine but don't like the prices and expect one (that was a gift) all are second hand Uggs that have been gently used! I even have a sequin red flat that look like ruby slippers. So there are so many designers out there that they are just not boots. There are also cute slippers that I also received as a gift my my loving husband... I did not mention them before because my Dachshund liked them as much as I did and had them for lunch.

I like the fact that Uggs are going beyond the boot and winter shoe. There are not sandals and now

they have gone to the dark side. Yes they are teaming up with Star Wars for these unique styles.

This is the Darth Vader Style shoe as we seen last fall with the Star Wars Inspired gowns and blouses. Here are some of the fashion we saw in the Fall of 2014. 

Uggs are launching this limited edition Star Wars X edition with a Darth Vader theme. These will be launched on May 4th and will be available from $100 to $225 and will be available on uggaustralia.com 

All the styles will be familiar silhouettes and the soft suede will be replaced with sleek leather.

Why would Ugg and Star Wars come together. The Star Wars crowd does not seem to be the Ugg crowd. Please no offense on either side. I have only watched on of these that I remember anyway and it was ok but not fascinated by it so what brought these two together?

The designers at Ugg are actually loved Star Wars movies from their childhood and wanted to make a style after the most iconic figure in the movie. They wanted to make these so that the fans of Uggs can wear them and does not scream I am a Star Wars addict this that they did not want to take the style literally but they wanted to make sure the Star Wars fan would love these and have them for years to come. The limited edition styles are numbered, The pipping on the boots look like a galaxy and the woven material in the inside has famous Darth Vader quotes as "if you only knew the power of the dark side"

So what is the future with this collaboration? Ugg does plan to be rolling out additional collections leading up to the Star Wars VII premiere in December. Each Collection will feature a different character.

So will these be like the Lilly Pulitzer for target... How dare these eBay people buy them up and put them on and sell for a profit!!!!!! They will not be many to go around and will keep you updated on the future roll outs.

I promised I would do this once a week to give you some ideas for the fall! There are a ton of garage sales and people donate their winter wardrobes so you can get good deals on fall fashion trends. When I shop especially this time of year I always look at the coats and sweaters because of the great deals I can get this time of year. Remember I do the work for you!

World Interior

This trend will see fabric and prints that you would see in your living room or in a decorative pillow. Tory Burch will have prints that make you think of a Moroccan rug.

This is a complete turn around on the shorter styles we saw last fall. To pull this look off if you are short like me you will need some killer heels. This is not something I am going to try as I would feel like I am trying on my mom's clothes when  I was 3!

Fashion After Surgery

Surgery!!! 

I am going to tackle something new and not really "high" fashion! I am having total knee replacement done in less then 2 weeks and I am trying to get my what to wear clothes after surgery. I had this same surgery in the other knee a few years ago and I know I was frustrated that I could not wear my jeans. My sister came to visit and I planed on wearing jeans and got out of the shoulder and to my surprise I could not get my jeans over my knee. I wanted to show my sister how cute I looked after my 100 pound weight loss and realized quick I am not going to be the fashionista but I did want to look presentable. 

I am going to show you a few outfits that I am going to get to help me with my recovery. I do love Victoria Secrets PINK line. It looks trendy and not frumpy. I know I will need loose clothing in order to get the pant over my knee. I will have a tank and a sweatshirt on hand as it is Ohio.. you never know.

 I like this style... Won't show too much of my waist though.. and I do knot I don't look like that.. LOL

 

What if it is chilly???? 

I love these with a cute sweatshirt.. yes I promise this 40 something.. year old will not have PINK across her butt!!!!!

What to wear to a Graduation ceremony

What do I wear to a Graduation Ceremony?

This is a great question as it is a special event for your son, daughter or other family member as well it may even be for a friend. You want to look pulled together and you don't want to embarrass the Graduate. This is a major milestone and is their time to shine and as an attendee it is not your time to shine. I would recommend a pretty dress and great accessories. You should dress as you would for a wedding or bridal shower and have fun! I think a dress is most likely in order to wear to a graduation ( I know some of you are rolling your eyes) I will also give you some other suggestions.

This is a great pink and white dress that is flirty and has a great look for afternoon 

 and evening.  The first is a high low style from  Quicksilver $85 (Left). My option is from my Store on eBay and is a NEW Ann Taylor Striped dress (right) is on auction now starting at $9.99 or a buy it now for $29.00

This next dress is a two tone style and you can chose a dress in these 2 bright colors or opt for a neutral combination. This colorful dress is from French Connection (left) and is $178.00. My option is a more neutral combo and is from Nine & Co (right) and is $19.99

The colors of black and white are a classic no brainier. The Horizontal stripes are

Next advice is go with a bright color! I love a bright Blue or a Bright Yellow like this dress. This dress is from DKNY $355.00 (right).  I have a yellow dress very similar and is from Old Navy $19.99  (Left)this is available in my eBay store.

So you don't want to wear a dress! A alternative is a classic black or khaki pant. Here are a few ideas.

This look has a gorgeous White and blue ruffle trim neckline blouse with a white trench and a heel or flat whichever you feel more comfortable in

Want to wear a jean. Go for a color jean. I love a coral color. This style has a

gorgeous silk blouse with turquoise beading along the neckline. Cream jacket and a brown heel. The brown heel is darker then the tan silk blouse but pulls it together!

One more. I love navy and white in the winter. Many times in my listings I will put

pair with a navy linen pant for summer. This look is a navy and white polka dot blouse and a flare navy pant. Great chain link purse looks like Chanel and some great sunglasses. This will be needed if the graduation is outside!

So what to wear on weekends

Part 2

Here it is Sunday and you need a cute outfit and spending precious valuable time (your off time) figuring out what to wear. It was easy today. I thought since it is a little cool out I knew I wanted to wear a sweater I have a short flutter sleeve sweater with a little sparkle. I have a Dark Denim Trouser jean from Chico's and a strappy Wedge Heel. LC Collection completed my outfit with a Crystal leaf necklace. I think I will start posting what I am wearing today so you can start to trust I am the person that can help you make your  wardrobe easy, cheap (still designer names) and you will look like a million bucks!

Here are some great ideas that I love for the weekend. I know what you are saying but there are times that I just want to chill watch TV and eat ice cream! Then go right ahead! There needs to be a balance!

Shopping

Going Shopping? You always want to look good even when going to the grocery store. Lip gloss and mascara go a long way. A simple top and short is perfect because it will make it easier to get in and out of when trying on clothes and dress it up a bit for a smashing look!

I love the look of eyelet! I just bought a pair from Ann Taylor LOFT $15.99 brand new. I have dresses and even a Navy eyelet tapered pant. So these are from Alexander Wang $425.00

2.Pullover

Great way to add a great layered look when maybe stopping for a bite to eat or maybe it is an outside shopping area like we have in Columbus with Easton Town Center. This look is from Vanessa Bruno and is $310

I love a pop of color when wearing basic shades of black and white.

A white tee with a frumpy crop jean ( one that is too long for you and is wide and then pairing it with Birkenstocks) OK... enough of that look! Put a cute dress on and a great sparkle Flat sandal. Put on a cute straw hat and bring a jean jacket when it gets cool. I love jean jackets over a flirty casual dress

When going out to dinner on a date you want to keep the accessories simple but classic. You want to wear a little black dress because you will look elegant.

So going after church to Brunch. I know most churches dress down these days I do try to glam it up when going to church. I wore a Denim Trouser pant today but this look is so so cute!
