PLUS SIZE FASHION?

So now in this day and age a women who are a size 12 and above are considered plus size.

Is she really plus size?
Sports Illustrated thinks so!

This is ridiculous and it is even more irritating that some stores charge more money for the plus size fashions. Why? More importantly why do some designers refuse to have bigger clothing in their stores?

Are fat women different from other women?

According to most designers making clothing for fat women is hard.The public is not making this any easier for plus size women or women that have a bust. During a recent dancing with the stars episode a lingerie ad from Lane Bryant was a barred commercial. Here is the proof!

Designers did speak out about plus size clothing is hard to make simply because of a system of set styling "it is just not that easy to make plus size clothing" The stretch fabric is hard to work with and armholes are a problem. Really? You are a fashion designer learn how to make a armhole! Designer Lucy Lu said " while plus size fashions obviously need more fabric there is nothing in mind that can be an excuse." Sometimes it is harder for a clothing line to make plus size clothing but hire the people that have the expertise in that area. 

In my opinion plus size fashion has come a long way since I was plus size... oh wait according to the standards I still am! Now we have Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger and numerous others. Yes I would like North Face to come out with larger jackets for plus size but in time that will come. They still do charge plus size fashions a higher price which to me is discrimination.

The fashion is getting there but has a long way to go and a positive note New York fashion week did have models from size 0 to 18! See Progress is being made!

I try to find my customers that are curvy... no one wants to be called plus... Cute fashions. I will never put something on that is frumpy or ugly! We are deserve to look great!!!
