What are you wearing today?

Happy St. Patrick's DAY!!!

So what to wear on St. Patrick's Day?

Do you wear green?

Picking out what to wear to celebrate may be tricky, but let’s all (please) agree to forgo green headbands and “Kiss Me I’m Irish” tees and instead use the holiday to add shades of green to your look in fresh and interesting ways.
The key to crafting the perfect holiday look is to work with pieces that can be restyled throughout the season, say with Derek Lam sneakers or impossibly cool wide-leg pants by Tome (below). So instead of choosing a bright green sweatshirt stamped with a four leaf clover smack dab in the middle, opt for a minimal green pouch that be used everyday when tucked inside an oversize tote. No matter where you’re headed for the day, whether it be a parade or a bar, we created outfits fit for every occasion. All in all, these looks will work on St. Patrick’s Day and beyond.

Going to the Bar?
You want to look polished, but not too dressed up. A cool-girl waistcoat layered over a cozy (and warm!) turtleneck teamed with a track pant adds up to be the perfect combo. For your green piece, a statement snakeskin clutch in a deep hue completes the look while steering clear of a kitschy vibe. Finish off with statement flats for a day-long look.
Shop it: Uniqlo turtleneck, $15, uniqlo.com; Mango boyfriend gilet, $130, mango.com; J.Crew pants, $158, jcrew.com; Diane von Furstenberg clutch, $268, revolveclothing.com; Eddie Borgo three-finger ring, $125, shopbop.com; Rebecca Minkoff ankle strap flats, $195, shopbop.com

Parade?
The key here is to fuse warmth and style. Pick your green piece first, like this statement T by Alexander Wang sweater, and then add streamlined basics, like a crisp cut coat, sporty pants, and a structured handbag. Last but not least, throw a scarf on for an extra layer—don’t worry, you’ll green will still be seen and you’ll be the envy of every girl wearing one of those leprechaun hats.
Shop it: Witchery coat, $450, witchery.com; T by Alexander Wang sweater, $550, farfetch.com; H&M pants, $35, hm.com; Forever 21 scarf, $15, forever21.com; Gap boots, $69, gap.com; Loeffler Randall bag, $525, shopbop.com
Going Out tonight?
These glistening pants scream St. Patrick’s Day. Because they make such a statement, pair them with a top with clean lines, like this fitted Tibi crop top. For a finishing touch, and to take the theme one step further, accessorize with a dainty four leaf clover necklace. As far as the rest of your accessories go, keep ‘em minimal and let the pants do the talking.
Shop it: Tibi top, $447, bysymphony.com; Tome pants, $695,modaoperandi.com; Jennifer Zeuner four leaf clover necklace, $179, shopbop.com; Gorjana dagger necklace, $75, shopbop.com; CC Skye clutch, $350, ccskye.com; Stuart Weitzman sandals, $385,bergdorfgoodman.com

You want to be comfortable but you also want to make a subtle nod to the holiday. These striped Derek Lam sneakers can be worn year-round and are the perfect complement to your pouch. These are accessories are so major, that your jeans-and-white-tee combo go a long way.
