Transition... How do we do it?

Transition... Is is easy?

Well it depends... I know most people don't want to hear that. They

want a black and white answer and I think it depends. For me.. easy I can not wait to change out for my chunky sweaters and cashmere separates. But when something can be worn for summer or fall it is hard to actually put it away. For example, I have a gorgeous green silk blouse that is 3/4 sleeve but is not a dark green it is more on the brighter side.. just made a decision now... I will pack it away in a few weeks. I think that the decisions are best made right after labor day....What do I do? I like to have transition items I put in the cedar chest so I am prepared for anything!


So this time of year is the hardest because strappy sandals and pastel separates are not the answer but bringing out the cashmere v-neck sweater does not fee right either. here are a few pieces to help you with the transition from Summer to fall for your work wardrobe!

1. Suit in a brighter color!
Suits in Blue are gorgeous and can be a great transition piece

2. Moto Jacket over a mid calf dress:
As many of you I have so many coats and jackets. I love a jacket over a sleeveless tunic and because my son plays ice hockey I have so many cute coats!

3. Go for a suit in a natural color:

Go for a great suit in a oatmeal color and when chiller weather comes go for a cute coat in the chiller months.

4. Invest in convertible pieces:

This is investing in twinsets.. skirt sets and lighter merino wool

 5. Go for a great jacket!
Peacoat!!! Get one get another... I have so many orange, black, navy, green.. I would like to get one in plaid and yellow... 

Fall is my favorite time of year!
