If there is ever a runway season that brings with it Oscar-worthy gowns, it's couture fashion show and this is a perfect example on what I translate into real style fashion. Will these particular dresses be seen on the red carpet on 2/28 no but this is the style and colors and fabric we want to see that night. And this is what we will translate into the spring and summer season. It is not a coincidence that the spring couture collections debut right in the middle of awards season!
For the last few years as a fashionista, blogger and eBay fashion clothing seller the red carpet designs as well as the music awards give me ideas on what is hot for the coming seasons. Actresses and Actors all have their own style but the designers determine what is hot for the season! Colors, Fabrics, Styles, and Embellishments or not. Believe it or not the awards season is a big indicator of fashion for the upcoming months.
1. Light Purple, Purple and sequins.. Little bit of sparkle...
Armani Privée put an edgy spin on a pastel gown with deep black embellishment that seems to drip down from the bodice, revealing soft purple silk below.
2. Gold, This can be a drusey looking like little specs.. The color gold is hot.. so silver ladies get some gold... either jewelry or in a fun sweater.
This gold Valentino gown practically screams Oscars, with its metallic gold hue, reminiscent of the award itself.
3. RED.. and more red.. also very famine. You will see cascades... for us.. in skirts and blouses...
Oscar night is an evening to pull out all the stops when it comes to fashion: The bigger the better. In red-carpet-worthy style, Giambattista Valli created a bright red dress of cascading tulle that we hope makes an appearance at the awards.

4. Deep Purple.. Navy.. Colors are great! Sequins heavily beaded styles.. we will see jeans with sparkle.. Little sundresses... Cutouts will also be a hit.. maybe not in the front.. but we will see this in arms. keyhole styles.

4. Metallic, beading and embroidery... This style shows a high neckline and a metallic belt... The romance is back for the spring! We will see romantic styles.. Sleeveless blouse with high neck trim in a ruffle.
For the girl looking for her princess moment, Elie Saab's collection is hard to beat. We're particularly in love with this high-neck, sleeveless beaded gown, nipped in at the waist by a metallic belt.
5. White!! This style shows a classic white with some embroidery.. This also shows some old Hollywood Glamour!
Our fingers are crossed that at least one nominee steps onto the carpet, dripping with Old Hollywood glamour. And, honestly, what better way to do that than in Chanel haute couture?
