Thigh High Boots....

Thigh High Boots???

The gorgeous thigh high boots... so are they for everyone? We seen them all

over the runway and sure they look great on the runway models but us normal girls? I have a hard time even fitting the knee boots because of my calves so I am a little leery to wear these but lets See how the normal girls wear these! I would make sure if you are going to wear this style that you try them on in the store or measure your calves and thighs. Some of these styles on women like myself that are 5"3 on a good day :) would look like leather pants and not boots.

So it is hard to put an outfit together when you are working around the footwear right ladies? So picking out an outfit to wear with your thigh high boots can be challenging so we do not look like Julia Robert's in pretty woman.

Besides the right fit and length here are some rules so you can wear these boots!

1. Big Calves, Thighs..

 Make sure you are well aware of the material. Get boots that have elastic in the back.

2. Fold over the Thigh High Boot 

Make the boots your own by folding them over.

3. If you Opt to wear with a short skirt?

Ok.. This can be tricky but is a great option for short girls. If you are wearing a boot with a short skirt make sure you avoid heavy makeup and red lipstick.

4. Not just for dressing up

This is a great way to wear your boots! With Legging and skinny jeans!!! WOW..

Leggings are great because sometimes jeans look like they are a pair of pants.

5. Wear them over your tights

Wear your boot over your tights.. This will keep you warm and cozy in the winter!

Happy Monday!!!! Hey it is going to be a great day and remember to look your

best! I just saw the Today Show and all of the fashion trends I talked about since May are the talk of the town as we are on the heels of the fall fashion season! I think later this week I am going to the mall and take pictures of the store fronts so I can go over what is a yes go for it trend or I would not waste your time!

So what is this 70's look that everyone is talking about? It is not the 70's nasty polyester that you remember wearing or in my mind what my parents wore. As I have said a million times before it is the look.. not necessarily the same thing..

Fashion Movie Friday!!!
Devil wears Prada!

This is the must see fashion movie and if you have not seen this see it this weekend.

This makes every fashion girl feel good... The clothes, parties and atmosphere is amazing. Some will like the end and some will not. For me personally I would go the other way in the end! Working for a fashion magazine is a dream come true!

Andrea "Andy" Sachs (Anne Hathaway) is an aspiring journalist fresh out of Northwestern University. Despite her ridicule for the shallowness of the fashion industry, she lands a job "a million girls would kill for," juniorpersonal assistant to Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the icy editor-in-chief of Runway fashion magazine. Andy plans to put up with Miranda's bizarre and humiliating treatment for one year in hopes of getting a job as a reporter or writer somewhere else.

At first, Andy fumbles with her job and fits in poorly with her gossipy, fashion-conscious coworkers, especially Miranda's senior assistant Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt). However, with the help of art director Nigel (Stanley Tucci), who loans her designer clothes, she gradually learns her responsibilities and begins to dress more stylishly to show her effort and commitment to the position. She also meets attractive young writer Christian Thompson (Simon Baker), who offers to help her with her career. As she spends increasing amounts of time at Miranda's beck and call, problems arise in her relationships with her college friends and boyfriend Nate (Adrian Grenier), a chef working his way up the career ladder.

Miranda is impressed by Andy and allows her to be the one to bring the treasured "Book," a mock-up of the upcoming edition, to her home, along with her dry cleaning. She is given instructions by Emily about where to leave the items and is told not to speak with anyone in the home. Andy arrives at Miranda's home only to discover that the instructions she received are vague. As she tries to figure out what to do, Andy begins to panic. Miranda's twins (Caroline and Cassidy, played by Colleen and Suzanne Dengel, respectively) falsely tell her she can leave the book at the top of the stairs just as Emily has done on many occasions. At the top of the stairs, Andy interrupts Miranda and her husband having an argument. Mortified, Andy leaves the book and runs out of the home.

The next day, Miranda tells her that she wants the new unpublished Harry Potter book for her daughters and if Andy cannot find a copy, she will be fired. Andy desperately attempts to find the book, nearly gives up, but ultimately obtains it through Christian's contacts. She surprises Miranda by not only finding the book but having copies sent to the girls at the train station, leaving no doubt that she accomplished Miranda's "impossible" task, thus saving her job.

One day, Andy saves Miranda from being embarrassed at a charity benefit, and Miranda rewards her by offering to take her to the fall fashion shows in Paris instead of Emily. Andy hesitates to take this privilege away from Emily, but is forced to accept the offer after being told by Miranda that she will lose her job if she declines. Andy tries to tell Emily on her way to work. However, Emily is hit by a car and Andy has to break the bad news while visiting her in the hospital.

When Andy tells Nate she is going to Paris, he is angered by her refusal to admit that she's become what she once ridiculed, and they break up. Once there, Miranda, without makeup, opens up to Andy about the effect Miranda's impending divorce will have on her daughters. Later that night, Nigel tells Andy that he has accepted a job as creative director with rising fashion star James Holt (Daniel Sunjata) at Miranda's recommendation. Andy finally succumbs to Christian's charms, and after spending the night with him, learns from him about a plan to replace Miranda with Jacqueline Follet as editor of Runway. Despite the suffering she has endured at her boss's behest, she attempts to warn Miranda.

At a luncheon later that day, however, Miranda announces that it is Jacqueline instead of Nigel who will leave Runway for Holt. Nigel remarks to Andy that, though disappointed, he has to believe that his loyalty to Miranda will one day pay off. Later, when Miranda and Andy are being driven to a show, she explains to a still-stunned Andy that she was grateful for the warning but already knew of the plot to replace her and sacrificed Nigel to keep her own job. Pleased by this display of loyalty, she tells Andy that she sees some of herself in her. Andy, repulsed, says she could never do that to anyone. Miranda replies that she already did, stepping over Emily when she agreed to go to Paris. When they stop, Andy gets out and throws her cell phone into the fountain of the Place de la Concorde, leaving Miranda, Runway, and fashion behind.

Later, back in New York, she meets Nate for breakfast. He has accepted an offer to work as a sous chef in a popular Boston restaurant. Andy is disappointed, but her hope is rejuvenated when he says they can work something out. At the film's conclusion, she is interviewing for a job at the New York Mirror. The interviewer reveals that Miranda told him that Andy was by far her biggest disappointment, but that he would be an idiot not to hire her. In the last scene, Andy, dressed casually but with a bit more style, gives a call to Emily in Miranda's office and offers her all the clothes she received in Paris. Emily accepts the offer and tells the new assistant that she has some very large shoes to fill. After that, Andy looks over and sees Miranda getting into her car across the street. They exchange looks and Miranda gives a soft smile once inside the car. Miranda then looks at the driver and says with attitude, "Go".

Plain Black Flats? Here are some gorgeous outfits to wear with them!

We all have black flats!!! Right? Here are some cute outfit ideas to go with your flats!

So in out closet we have those pieces that we always go to or our a staple. Your classic

black pants, Favorite Jeans, and your collection of shoes. I love black flats and have about 10 pair of them and I also love my nude ballet flats as they go with everything. Also since we are talking about shoes... Always have a color so when you have that jean with a black blouse you can add a bright pink driving moccasin.

This way you will stand out from the crowd but here I will shoe you that even wearing your ultra comfy black flat will get you noticed.. and in a good way.

1. Gray Suit

This is a great way to wear your black flats. When wearing this look make sure the pant is an ankle fit or go for a trendy short suit.

2. Faux Fur Vest with Skinny Jean

This is a super cute look and I love the colored jean with the black flat. If you had on a dark jean this outfit would not pop. This way it pops and looks fabulous!

3. Peplum Top... and with a jacket

I love the peplum top (at first I did not) This is a great look for anyone... Wear your dark denim tapered leg jean with a Peplum top either in a print or a solid. and add a blazer for a more office look.

4. Classic Suit

Black flats with a classic suit is a great way to feel comfortable but still look on your game at the office. I love a classic red suit.. more of a fitted style with a classic black flat.

5. Overalls: Suspenders!!

Don't just think of denim overalls! Think of Gray and black and done in wool, poly fabrics. 

This one is  perfect for the office... and it looks very comfortable as well!

6. Oversized Dress

This is a cute look for anytime of year. This picture shows a buffalo check oversized dress with a black pointed flat... Very cute.. Come colder months and put a opaque black tight and you are ready for the winter!

7. Elegant Dress!

Yes you can wear your most elegant dress with a black flat. This shows a cute bow ballet flat with a stunning red dress... Wedding? How comfortable will you be.. no kicking off your to die for (for real) 4 inch studded heel... You will be so stylish and comfortable in these!

8. Leather Dress:

A leather dress looks so gorgeous! It says I am hot and I am pulled together and look you can wear a flat!!!

9. Baggy Jeans

There is nothing better then a baggy jean and a chunky sweater or even a tee and blazer!

10. Southwest Hat: Style

Wear your black flats to any southwest style like a cowboy hat. This outfit has a southwest hat and a brown leather jean with a chambray shirt!! Great pulled together look.

11. Patent Leather Flat:

Yes dress your outfit with a patent leather.. The menswear look is in this fall. I will be listing many patent leather shoes that will represent the menswear look.

12. Flare Pants, Jeans!

This look will show just a little of your black flat so I would go with a ballet flat tha6 has a bow in the front or even a pleated or fringe to the front.

13. White Jeans!

This will break up the white jeans with a black flat! 

14. With an Embellished Tee or Jacket

The embellished tee or a embellished colorful jacket will make your black flat look perfect for your look!

15. Wear with your favorite accessories

Great with your favorite bag or belt... Play up the look.. maybe even with a saddle bag (very hot for the Fall)
