When I think of timeless fashion I think of Audrey Hepburn or Jacqueline Kennedy. How do styles become a classic? Achieving a timeless style does follow simple rules. Stick with simple clean lines and focus on quality. That of course does not mean to spend a lot of money. Have quality pieces and shop discount! Women that look elegant look pulled together. That is why some women just have black and white in their wardrobe.

Basic Elegant principles:

1. Clean~ Pay attention to your personal grooming! If you want to look elegant you need to be well groomed.

Here are the basics:

Always have clean hair, nails and clean. Don't wear a lot of perfume to mask that you skipped the shower! (Great fresh clean perfume is Philosophy Pure Grace)

Go for a natural look for makeup and keep it simple.

2. Neat and Clean~ Is your office desk a mess? Is you bathroom look like the backstage at a fashion show? How to run your life and manage it will come across. This is not just about fashion this is also about how you carry yourself because it boost self confidence!

3.Quality~  Aim for quality over quantity. Especially for people on a budget.  A quality item will last longer and in the long run it will cost less then something that is going to be out of fashion or just falls apart.

Believe it or not the less clothing you have the less of a dilemma you have when getting ready. Only buy what you love and you will wear it over and over!

4. Shrink your wardrobe... Shh... 

"Less is More"? If you have 10 to 15 good pieces that you can wear over and over mix up the pieces and dress them up or down. Accessorize! This gives a new look to timeless pieces! Husbands rejoice! We will get ready in less time! Get rid of clothing that does not fall under the elegant category.

Clothes that need to be ironed

Clothes of ridiculous fashion

Handbags that need to be washed

Huge bags! The smaller the bag the more elegant

Fashionable does not mean elegant!

5.Edit your wardrobe~ Get rid of items you have had for years but have never touched. Too big or too small? Get rid of it!

6. How you dress matters~ How you dress says a lot about you! What image are you presenting to the world. Start considering how you present yourself this will lead you to other opportunities. Friendships and career opportunities.
